DanKatsu Volume 4, Afterword

Afterword

Hello, this is Nishikigi Kaede.

Thank you very much for picking up Reincarnation In The Game World <DanKatsu> - Game Addict Plays "Encouragement For Job Hunting In Dungeons" From a New Game - Volume 4!

And to you, who actually bought this book—my deepest thanks!

It’s only thanks to all of you readers who continue to support me that I’ve been able to keep releasing new volumes like this. I’ll continue to work hard to chase after fun and excitement, so please stay with me in the future as well!

Now then, Volume 4 could be called the “Beginner Dungeon Complete Edition,” so to speak.

All of the beginner dungeon bosses and rare bosses were finally revealed in this volume.

Rare bosses, with their powerful, unique skills, are opponents you can never underestimate. If you get careless, even a battle that seemed completely in your favor can end in total party wipe in the blink of an eye. But if you can read their moves, they reveal huge openings, and by striking in that moment, you can knock them down. Defeat them, and a treasure chest appears with upgraded quality and quantity—truly a “romantic” boss battle.

Speaking of romance, this volume finally introduced the Karakuri Carriage and the Thunder Javelin! Items that let you speed up dungeon exploration are a must-have in any RPG, right?

These are among the most popular pieces of equipment in DanKatsu, so with the book release, they were even chosen to appear in full color on the cover! On top of that, they got two appearances in the illustrations, and in the paperback edition, they even showed up on the back cover. That’s four spots total!

How amazing is that!?

And speaking of amazing, the characters were absolutely fantastic this time too! We had the first appearances of Shizu and Pamela!

On top of that, this was the first time we got to see Lulu in her battle gear—and as the author, I was in a state of unstoppable hype!

Shizu appeared in the frontispiece, and I really hope you’ll take a look at it. She turned out unbelievably cool—she completely stole my heart! Pamela is also incredibly stylish. Cheria and Lulu, too, they were all drawn with such wonderful quality that I froze up just staring at the frontispiece for ages. Ah, whoops—I meant to talk about the characters, but ended up just gushing about the art. But since it really is that cool, I think it’s fine, right?

And the other illustrations too—like Lulu looking dizzy—they’re just packed with cuteness! As the author, my excitement was through the roof.

Honestly, every single page had me hyped up. I had to stop for breaks in between, or I wouldn’t have survived. I’m just overflowing with gratitude—thank you so much for these truly wonderful illustrations!

Oops, if I keep going, I’ll run out of pages, so I’ll wrap it up here.

Finally, my thanks.

To editor Y-san and everyone at TO Books, to Shuri-san for drawing such beautiful illustrations, to everyone involved in the making of this volume, and above all, to you readers who picked it up—thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Let’s meet again in the next volume.
